Professional Development and Program Evaluation

“Technology coaches conduct needs assessments, develop technology-related professional learning programs, and evaluate the impact on instructional practice and student learning.” – ISTE Coaching Standard 4

The classroom is where any technology-related initiatives are implemented and teachers are the ones asked to do the implementation.  A smart, programmatic, technology-rich professional development program that meets the needs of the school and impacts student learning positively is essential. These things don’t happen by accident.
